Each quarter there will be a number of required PEERS events. These events include: talks by UCLA faculty and outside speakers about current research and activities going on in the world of science, informational sessions about student resources on campus, networking events, mixers, and lab tours.
These events are intended to help develop friendships outside of the classroom, form support groups, create a sense of community among PEERS scholars, and expose students to current exciting research topics. Greater investment in the program by attending special events helps students get to know each other and learn about important opportunities.
