 irector\n\nDr. Monica Gonzalez Ramirez is an Assistant Director of the Und
 ergraduate Research Center – Sciences\, where she leads programs such as
  PEERS (Program for Excellence and Research in the Sciences) and TREP (Tra
 nsfer Research Entry Program). With a PhD in cell biology and molecular bi
 ochemistry\, she has published in top journals\, received competitive gran
 ts and fellowships\, and presented her research at national and internatio
 nal conferences. At UCLA\, Dr. Gonzalez Ramirez is dedicated to mentoring 
 undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds\, helping them navigate re
 search opportunities\, build resilience\, and explore a wide range of care
 er paths in science.
