The Women in the Physical Sciences student group is hosting an Implicit Bias Workshop on Wednesday, February 26 at 6:00 PM in PAB 4-330.
From the Organizers:
Most people have either been affected by or have seen the effect of people’s bias in their lives at least once. Whether it is related to gender, age, ethnicity, or even a person’s major, people’s experience with bias is both inward and outward. What does that mean exactly? It means even if you yourself have not overtly shown your bias, it is there, somewhere in your mind. Next week we’re going to be having an implicit bias workshop for everyone to come learn about how our minds work, and become more aware of how we think. ALSO! If you believe you don’t have implicit bias, come prove us–or yourself–wrong!
Food will be provided as usual.
